about me
I’m Tom Dixon, a filmmaker driven by curiosity, adventure, and stories that reconnect people with the natural world.
Over the last two years I’ve been travelling by tall ship, filming conservation work in some of the planet’s most remote places, as part of the DARWIN200 Global Voyage- from the Galápagos to Tasmania. I’m used to small crews, tight spaces, and changing plans fast, and I genuinely enjoy the problem-solving that comes with working in challenging environments.
I bring a strong technical foundation to creative work. I’m a CAA-qualified drone pilot (GVC), IRATA rope access and Canopy Access qualified(BCAP, ACAP), and a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver - which means I can work safely and confidently whether we’re in the canopy, on a moving boat, or in the water.
Off set, I’m usually drinking coffee and going down a rabbit hole - learning something new and tinkering with a project - I just like making things.
I shoot primarily on a Sony FX6 and Sony A7S III, and fly a DJI Mavic 3 Pro under CAA Operational Authorisation. I also have an underwater housing for the A7S III, plus audio and post tools that keep me fully self-sufficient on location.

I'm based in Plymouth in the South West of the UK but available to work worldwide.
